Threats at Home:
While most of us would hope we are safest in our homes with our loved ones, in fact this is one of the most dangerous places for women.
The figures at left represent homicide, which is sadly easier to track than physical abuse, which is often under-reported.
The drivers are many but most relate to either male aggression or the lower value many cultures place on women’s lives.
