COP24, Katowice Poland

The 24th Conference of the Parties (COP24) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) will be held in Katowice, Poland between the 2nd – 14th December 2018.

A delegation of ACT Alliance members and partners from around the world will be present to advocate for ambitious and fair outcomes for the implementation of the Paris Agreement, guided by the principles of equity, human rights and gender justice. They will raise the voices and experiences of ACT members who are living on the frontlines of climate change and will follow the negotiations closely to hold governments and policymakers to account on their commitments.

The conference will build on the progress made over the years since the implementation of the Paris Agreement at COP21 which aims to keep global temperature rise below 2°C, pursuing efforts to keep temperature rise to 1.5°C.

The ACT Now for Climate Justice Campaign aims to bridge the technical, moral and ethical perspectives on climate justice. AT COP24 it will mobilise members to safeguard the integrity of creation.
