Syrian refugees gather outside of the police station in Presevo, Serbia, where they are waiting to be registered for assistance. Many have traveled more than 1,000 miles in their flight to freedom. ACT member IOCC, in cooperation with Red Cross of Serbia, is providing meals to the weary travelers as well as to local people in need.

Sector 5 in Za'atari camp were in May 2013 still quite empty. A lot of services were missing for the refugees living here, like enough toilets, kitchens and water posts.

Face painting, performing and outdoor games are all activities used by ACT member trauma counselors to help displaced Syrian children express their feelings through art and play. These children are among 2,300 displaced Syrian men, women and children who have benefited from the counseling program since it was first provided in March 2012.
